LOCATIONS: CITY

LOCATIONS
Welcome to Recollé, a hustling and bustling city filled with opportunity and promise for both young and old. The city is a peaceful one. Many people move here for the pursuit of higher education or career opportunities. Some have been residents their entire lives. Every day the city grows with the population. The weather is perfect in every season: spring is mild and warm and good for planting, summers are hot, autumns are cool, and winters are cold.

While many get around the city by driving, walking, or biking, there are bus stops all over the city for people to commute via public transportation if they'd rather do that. The main bus hub is located in Tribunal Terrace, but you can catch a ride from nearly anywhere so long as you know how the bus schedule works and get on the proper line.

There's also a subway station, but it appears to have been shut down in recent history. Residents will be told it's because damages were made to the system and construction crews are working on it. Residents might remember riding on the subway, and it was about what you would expect from a subway ride: not particularly exciting, but very particularly crowded. Most people are well aware that there have been a number of bureaucratic roadblocks in fixing the subway, and the Mayor in particular is prone to making dark comments about it not being fixed yet (he liked riding the subway).

While you are free to make up locations that would reasonably be found in a city, this page lists some of the mainstays that many in Recollé would be familiar with and which districts they can be found in. We do accept player submissions for player-run businesses and locations to be added to the list. This extends to businesses your characters may hold part-time jobs at if you'd like! Please simply write up a blurb of the business or location you would like to add and comment with it to this page using the following form. Please be certain your proposed business or location matches the district in which you're placing it.

Additional locations found in the city but are now owned or operated by NPCs can be found OVER HERE.

In recent times, the city has begun shrinking and changing. Previous locations that can no longer be found are listed OVER HERE. Locations outside of the city can be found OVER HERE.

Tribunal Terrace Tribunal Terrace is the location of public services for the betterment of the people. It's home to locations such as:

Recollé City Hall, on top of which sits the Sorcerer's Stone currently.
Recollé Police Station
Recollé Department of Justice (home to the Recollé branch of the FBI, DEA, BOP, etc.)
Recollé Fire Station (there are smaller fire houses in the other districts as well)
Recollé Courthouse
Recollé Prison
Recollé General Hospital
Recollé Morgue (located on the very bottom floor of the hospital)
Recollé Graveyard
Recollé's Worship Corner, a section of the district home to a few churches of varying demoninations and shrines for worship

Recollé Community Center/Recollé Volunteers Association Offices - As the largest community center in the city, the RCC caters to all residents with a variety of meeting rooms and lecture halls that can be rented out by the public for any need or occasion. The RCC is also host to the Community Arts Program and hosts a multitude of theatre events. Local clubs frequently use this space for their activities, but it's most often used to host the local events organized by the Recollé Volunteers Association, or ReVA. ReVA's offices are situated right next to the RCC for ease of convenience.

Recollé Office of Child & Family Services - Working alongside the orphanage, the Office of Child & Family Services oversees the foster care system in Recollé. Many of the city's social workers are employed here. Families can look to Child & Family Services to obtain support for issues such as mental health, physical health, abuse, addiction, poverty, employment, education, disability, etc.

Tribunal Terrace is also where one finds Recollé Square, a large public park area where many city festivals and events take place. The Square is located mostly in the middle of the above locations and when festivals and things like career day or other random events aren't taking place there you can always find people running or walking (occasionally with dogs) or having picnics or what have you, weather permitting. At the center of Recollé Square is a fountain featuring statues of the Founders.

The other point of interest in Tribunal Terrace is Town Hall where the city's own residential mayor, Mayor Mayer (yes, yes, he's heard the jokes several times now) works hard to keep the city running smoothly. Town Hall is where residents can also hold meetings to pass new laws, discuss upcoming city-wide events and other items of interest for the betterment of Recollé.

Apprassage All educational facilities are located in Apprassage including Recollé's elementary school, junior high school, and high school. The largest part of this district, however, is made up of Recollé University. RU's campus is long-sprawling and well-known for accepting students from all parts of the globe.

Recollé University - The well-known and only University in Recollé, home of the Recollé Wildcats (colors: blue and white), a team and colors shared by Recollé High, Recollé Junior High, and Recollé Elementary. There are several buildings on campus for students' classes along with dormitories, the Student Union for the campus bookstore/main cafeteria/Health & Wellness, and other facilities one would find on a college campus. Students are not required to live in the dorms but may choose to do so. If students choose not to live the dormlife, they have several options including:

Birch Hills - Apartments located within walking distance of the college campus, located closer to the edge of Viea Village (as the RU campus is fairly large.) Birch Hills is generally populated by university students and professors, although some of the teachers and families from the nearby lower-grade schools also live here. This is also a good apartment complex for high school students who have transferred into the city on exchange programs, emancipated students, and etc.

Crimson Crest - Family apartments/public apartments available for rent to non-students/people who work in the nearby districts/people who don't want to live in houses. Crimson Crest is widely agreed to be the best non-house housing option for families with younger children, being located very close to all the schools and well-known for being a quiet neighborhood where the traffic is less intense. Families will find relief in knowing it's safe to allow your kids to play outside without too much worry.

Other points of interest in Apprassage include:

Recollé Public Library - A two-story public library which is rather large and has a good selection of books, audiobooks and a slightly smaller selection of movies for rent. Anything they don't have they can get for you using the library loan system. They host a variety of activities and clubs, from the Knitting Club every Saturday afternoon to the Book Club every Monday evening.

The National Library - The National Library holds every book published in Japan. It has a very nice courtyard, a lounge area, an infirmary, several offices, a dining hall, a bar, and many unoccupied dorm rooms.

Recollé Resource Center - A combination tutoring center and trade school, the RRC is an alternative to university but also offers tutoring to students from the lower schools.

Recollé Recreation + Fitness Center - The RRFC is where all residents go when they want to work up a sweat or train for their next charity marathon. Featuring an olympic-sized swimming pool, several cardio and weight rooms, and offering classes such as fencing, martial arts, and yoga, this building stays open 24/7 barring holidays.

Recollé Planetarium - Frequented by many a class field trip, the Planetarium is also open to the general public for visits. It is connected to the...

Recollé Observatory - Often used by the University or visited for school-related things, the Observatory has certain levels which can only be accessed by those working there or scientists with permission.

Recollé History Museum - Covering the history of Recollé, there are Founders artifacts, city documents, and a lot of paintings and statues. It's actually a fairly boring place to go, but you've probably been there at least once if you attended elementary school in the city.

Recollé Art Museum - Featuring mostly works from local artists in all mediums, the museum does occasionally get in rotating travel exhibits. The exhibits change often enough that it's not a one-trip kind of museum.

Catmosphere Café - Catmosphere Café is a quaint cat café with a homey feel. They offer an assortment of drinks from their trademark catpurrcinos to their newly added kitteas. Pastries are also part of the menu—all cat-themed. It's a great spot for stressed individuals and cat lovers to relax. With their close affiliation with the Recollé Animal Shelter, they also showcase cats that up for adoption. Adoptable cats are indicated by yellow bandannas around their neck, accompanied by their name and informative icons (kid-friendly, cat-friendly/dog-friendly, special needs). For more information, see here.

Churchill Downs Riding School and Stables - Churchill Downs is a riding school and stables location on the border corner of Viea Village and Apprassage, furthest away from Tribunal Terrace. The school is equipped with stables for housing the horses Chocobos of families, animals in rehabilitation, animals for equestrian lessons and even the home of Mayor Mayer's lovely Seabiscuit.

The Kaneda Building - A part of Recolle Univerity's art department, the Kaneda Building, named for local patron Kasen Kaneda, is a part of the University's art program that focuses on assisting art students in finding an audience and applying for various forms of financial support, including special health insurance programs for artists and performers. The program is largely sponsored by Kasen Kaneda himself, who regularly hosts charity events either at the building itself, or at the Recolle Museum of Art, in order to support the programs offered there.

Chata In Chata, residents can do their basic shopping for groceries, drug store items, and other necessities. Chata is made up of little fresh produce/organic places, mom-and-pop type drug stores and other shops such as these. The largest and best-known store, however, is probably...

Freshens - A giant multi-level department store for groceries, pharmacy items, home decor, furniture, basic clothing, arts/crafts supplies, electronics, etc. There's a play area for kids, although they have a limited number of children they can handle at any give time, and parking out front is agreed by most to always be atrocious. It's especially bad right before any holiday that requires cooking a large meal. Good luck.

Chata is also known as the humanitarian district. With a lot of shops being family-owned or passed down generation to generation, it's no surprise this is also home to a few other establishments.

Junes - A large department store opposite Freshens.

Chabana Tea House -A traditional Japanese tea house, located in the upper area of Chata. Despite its location in the busy city, the tea house's grounds are remarkably quiet. Stepping in through the gate is like stepping into another, peaceful, world.

Union Grocery -A small, modern grocery owned by the elderly Kimuras. Union specializes in locally-sourced organic products such as milk, honey, eggs, fruits and vegetables, coffee, tea, a small selection of meats, etc. They also carry some imports. Because of the longevity of the products, the business hits its stride in the morning and early afternoon hours, and the products are rarely the same twice! Best known for Mr. Kimura's handmade hot sauces, and Mrs. Kimura's fruit preserves and flowering teas.

Recollé Orphanage -Bordering the edge of the Viea Village and Chata district resides the Recollé Orphanage. Founded several decades ago, the orphanage not only serves for youth that are up for adoption but also part of the foster-care system. The orphanage could always use a little extra help from some kind souls willing to donate time, money, and support should they find a little extra to spare.

Recollé Animal Shelter -Also bordering the edge of the Viea Village and Chata district lies the Recollé Animal Shelter. This shelter is currently a no-kill shelter and houses several stray dogs, cats, bunnies and birds. The staff at the shelter firmly believes in keeping every animal happy and are always thrilled for people to come in to socialize the animals and possibly give them forever-homes.

Viea Village In Viea Village there are houses upon houses upon houses. While there are apartments scattered in all districts across the city, this is the district where most of your family homes will be found. Houses vary in size and pricing but the neighborhoods in this district are just far enough outside of the main parts of the city for some peace and quiet.

Maple Valley - An apartment complex that resides in the suburbs for those who wish to live in a quieter part of the city but can't afford/choose not to live in a house.

Hollingberry Field - A family park with grassy areas perfect for picnics or an afternoon stroll. The park also features a playground for children, a dog park, a bike path, a baseball field, a soccer field, and a basketball court. In the summer, there is also a community swimming pool open to the public.

Garden Gate Farmer's Market - Held on the weekends in Hollingberry Park, the Garden Gate Farmer's Market is a lively tradition for Recollé's citygoers. Open 8am - 2pm, farmers, growers, and other artisans can stake out a moderately-sized booth to promote and share their products. It offers the best variety of fresh seasonal foods and also holds cooking demonstrations (and food tasting!) for everything from pizzas to tamales to pies. Other wares such as arts and crafts, household items, and bath and beauty can also be found among the booths. On occasion, food trucks that partner with the market patrons also line the parking lot, making it a popular community-driven hangout.

Enprise In Enprise residents will find more specialized businesses such as doctors offices, law offices, accounting firms, real estate agencies, etc. This is also where other businesses like automotive shops, entrepreneur shops, or anything that doesn't really fit into the entertainment district can be found.

Due to its location in the city, Enprise also hosts a few special points of interest.

Recollé Zoo and Aquarium - Expansive and taking up a large portion of the Enprise district, the Recollé Zoo and Aquarium is a fun place for families and friends to spend a day together viewing animals in cage-free habitats. The aquarium is home to several types of fish and sea life such as seals, penguins, manatees, dolphins, whales and sharks. Zookeepers work hard to ensure that these animals feel right at home and are treated with great care, and often times special events take place during season changes and holidays. Don’t forget to stop at the gift shop on your way out!

Recollé Veterinary Clinic & Senior Dog Sanctuary - The veterinary clinic cares for common pets as well as more exotic creatures, with services including physical examination, consultation, vaccination, lab work, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, pain management, microchips, boarding, and more. Sharing the building is the senior dog sanctuary, where specialized geriatric care can be given to older dogs who can no longer be cared for by their families, and student volunteers help with and learn about animal care and socialization.

Dojima Real Estate - A family-owned company with more than 30 years of experience, Dojima Real Estate has the skill and the proven results to help the citizens of Recollé regardless of whether they are looking to rent, buy, sell or simply relocate into a new home. Their listings feature properties that are located in neighborhoods throughout the city, and range from single-bedroom studios to houses and everything in between. In addition, Dojima Real Estate can assist residents with buying and selling as well as property management. There's nothing they can't do!

From Dust Till Dawn - A canon-specific shop from the world of RWBY, From Dust Till Dawn specializes in the providing of Dust, an element used as a fuel/energy/munitions source on Remnant.

Kawaguchi Private Investigation - As the lead (read: sole) investigator at KPI, Mariko Kawaguchi handles preliminary meetings with clients, short internet based investigations and ongoing cases under contract with the RPD at a small office. She will investigate just about anything for the right price so long as it does not conflict with her active investigations, specializing in missing persons, fraud, identity theft and infidelity investigations. Currently, this location is closed for practice.

The Law Offices of Lutece, Jackson, and Hearst - A middling-to-large law firm that hosts a number of practicing attorneys, mostly in corporate affairs (although some associates or even partners take on clients outside of that sphere). LJ&H is well known for being a very successful firm, and boasts several celebrities among its clients.

Tisse In Tisse, residents will find all of the best places for socializing, specialized stores and entertainment. This is where residents can visit large department stores, music stores, book stores, bars, and other venues.

Emerald Ridge - Family/public apartments for rent. Emerald Ridge apartments vary in quality, but they're mostly nice and tidy and the repairmen usually get to any issues within a few days. It is located in one of the nosier and busier city districts as a trade off, however.

The Atrium - The concert venue for local and popular bands alike, nearly everyone has been to the Atrium at least once in their life if they've lived in Recollé for any length of time at all. Even if they're not the band-seeing sort, the Atrium hosts Recollé Elementary and Junior High/High School's combined annual holiday concert, and nearly everyone has been to one of those.

The Big Bang Burger joint now has a location in Recollé. It’s your typical burger joint with a space theme, though they also hold the Big Bang Burger challenge. You’ll have thirty minutes to eat a giant burger, and if you do, you get a title as well as a badge to show off your status as second mate/first mate/captain.

Black Cat Tavern - From the outside it looks like a bar frequented by the less than savory characters of Recollé, but this is completely intentional. It is a military and biker friendly place, though anyone is free to come in as they please, as long as they aren't intimidated by the sword above the bar. It boasts a small menu of pretty much nothing but grilled and fried items and a large drink menu just like a traditional tavern would, sans a place to sleep.

Blue Moon Bakery - A fun, colorful bakery that specializes in making fantastical sweet treats from fresh, organic ingredients. The interior is mostly decked out in blue, but the cupcakes, cakes, and other pastries come in any color and flavor imaginable! From wedding cakes to donuts, your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied at the Blue Moon! The interior also features a small coffee corner that serves basic lattes, etc, and offers free wi-fi!

Cabaret Club Sunshine - A club where you can pay money to talk to a guy or girl of your dreams who then encourages you to pay even more money to buy expensive booze. The club was completely failing until it was bought by Goro Majima in 2016, but now it has a sizable clientele. You can find out more information about the club here.

The Confectionary - A modest cupcake bakery that is well-known for over one hundred unique cupcake flavors, but is just as infamous for the pink uniforms that employees are required to wear for work. The storefront is always busy no matter the time of day, but for those unable to wait in line, subscription box and delivery services are also available. The Confectionary frequently fills cupcake orders for nearby cafes and restaurants, as well.

Dancinerate - A well-established dance studio found in Tisse - although any Retrospec user will remember that this studio was previously located on the opposite side of the district and was not owned by the rather strict woman now in charge of it.

Deadeye Shooting Range - Deadeye is a shooting range for all gun-enthusiasts. With multiple options for ranges both indoor and outdoor, this is one of the local hot spots for the police force to improve their aim and have fun with friends. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Expressive - A quaint little coffee shop especially popular with those in their teens and early twenties, Expressive is widely believed by its regulars to be much better than any expensive coffee chain (though it can be a little pricey sometimes). They frequently have drink specials based on seasons and holidays, and serve a variety of pastries and a few simple sandwiches as well.

The Hubbub Hub Arcade - A small arcade that manages to eke out its success in Tisse due to its lack of crowds, cozy atmosphere and its collection of older, rarer arcade classics. Refreshments are also available over the counter. Often hosts promotional events such as double credits night, game specific challenge runs and the chance to win fabulous prizes by defeating the mysterious GUDA mask, their resident gaming champion.

Flix - The best-known movie theatre in Recollé, Flix regularly shows new films in addition to some special days where they'll show older films or marathons. Flix is pretty much what one would expect from a movie theatre, with a bunch of theatres, an arcade area off to the side for kids to play in until movies start, and a ton of overpriced popcorn, snacks, and drinks for sale to anyone who wants to shell out the dough.

A Good Bean - A lively cafe with a European vibe. A Good Bean sports an array of drinks, many talented baristas, and one occasionally ornery shift manager that customers might catch employees referring to as Lemonface. Though the decor and selection of music is fairly modern, it still offers a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for hunkering down with a big mug of hot cocoa on a cold day. Also features confections and chocolates crafted by the staff confiseur.

Grub Mart - A small convenience store that's open 24/7. It houses all of the usual features that these types of places have: a pharmacy, a photo station, and other various items that you can buy from groceries to cosmetics. There is also a section dedicated to liquor, but it has a separate entrance from the main store.

Mad Batter - A catch all bakery that seems to be made up of other previous bakeries...from all around the city. Why is Recollé this way?

Moogle Shop - It sells sea salt ice cream pops, potions, hi-potions, ethers, and tents.

Novel Idea - A book store that seems to have no specialty but which covers pretty much everything. A weird mashup of the Comic Corner and Tachibana's bookstore, and other small bookstores scattered throughout Recollé, Novel Idea has somehow become the lone bookstore left standing. Weird! It's a huge mishmash building that looks as though it could have conceivably eaten and merged every other bookstore into one.

Leviathan's Claw - More commonly referred to as "Jaeger's", this curio shop sells just about everything you can imagine. It's atmospheric, just like everything you can find within it, and it's just about as shady as its owner, Jaeger. Despite that you can find some pretty good deals on things that may or may not be magical. (They aren't magical.)

Pawn Promotion - Located next to Leviathan's Claw and operating since 2014, Pawn Promotion is a pawn shop that offers trinkets from all over the world. Boasting of high quality, this shop accepts and only sells items of high quality as accepted by the owner. It is also a location for coin collectors to buy, sell, and appraise their coins they have. Owned by Isaac McKinstry, it's rumored that this shop is actually haunted through social media sites.

Peacock - In the northernmost part of Tisse, almost but not quite in Enprise, Peacock is located in the mouth of a narrow side street. The impression upon entering the shop is "over the top". Over the top everything. There's feathers and bows, there's deep jeweltones and pastels, there's an ocean of black lace. They will supply just about anything you could possibly want in steampunk and goth fashion, from actual clothes to knicknacks to extravagant hats. And if you like, there's also a small, cozy corner where you can take your tea and chat to the owner - and if you don't like, you might find yourself there anyway.

Pizza Port - A space-themed pizza restaurant with dine-in, take-out and delivery options. Pizza Port serves up pizza family style and also features a salad and breadstick bar, as well as a soda mixing station. The restaurant also features a decent arcade, though only about half of the cabinets are currently operational. Delivery hours of operation extend until 2 AM on the weekends.

Rainbowland - From the world of Ouroboros, Rainbowland is a small amusement park just past city limits outside of Tisse. This themepark has a ferris wheel, carousel, roller coaster, gyro tower, an assortment of child-friendly rides (teacups, bumper cars, hurricane, octopus), a train, restaurants, a midway, and a Monster House. The Monster House is a major attraction, located at the end of the central promenade of the park. It features live actors, dressed up as various monsters, jumping out at you in each room. Several of the rooms have neat features, like a chandelier that seems to fall on you. In the back is a storage/prop room (though technically off limits to everyone but staff). Currently the park hosts: the grounds, the midway, the carousel, and the children's rides, along with the roller coaster, ferris wheel and restaurants. Check out more images here.

The Stardust - Tripling as both a rollerskating rink, iceskating rink and bowling alley, Stardust is open year-round and it serves as another hotspot for youth and adults alike. The building itself is fairly large to accommodate these three spaces but with specialties like a miniature arcade, a snack bar, and events hosted at different times of the year it's easy to spend a full day here.

Frequent visitors of the Stardust might also be familiar with the ice skating rink's friendly mascot, Comet the Orca. (And even moreso, employees of the Stardust may be familiar with the costume of Comet the Orca.)
art for Comet provided by kc.

Stone Pegasus Casino - Despite the name the exterior of the casino actually has two large gryphon statues. No one seems to really be clear why that is. Aside from that though, the Stone Pegasus is there for all of your gambling needs, with an upbeat atmosphere, beautiful staff members, regular special events, and occasional live music. Play the slots, try your hand at cards, or anything else you can imagine. Maybe you'll strike it as rich as the owner of the place someday!

Sweet Stems - Now the only flower shop in Recollé, Sweet Stems used to be the separate shops of "Enchanted Blossoms" and "Ophelia's Lament" and spent at least a week as "Ophelia's Blossoms"...not that any NPCs remember this. It's also located in an entirely different location from the other two shops. The flowers and plants found within all seem pretty normal, though.

The Tea Kittle - A bar/cafe that specializes in tea and cats. However, not a trace of a cat can be found outside of its plentiful cat-themed things, from plush cat-face shaped pillows on a few couches to the cat paw napkins set neatly on each table. The specialty of the cafe is a drink called 'The Chai Tea Cat-te". The owner is said to have some kind of allergy to cats, though no one has verified this claim.

The Three Broomsticks - A pub that serves a variety of interesting treats including Butterbeer. The pub also has a few rooms for overnight stays.

The Towers - A department store for clothing, accessories and more customized items, the Towers are actually exactly what one would think: two towers connected by bridges on several levels. There are thankfully elevators and escalators, but there are also a lot of stairs if you really want to do all that walking. There have been a few charity runs hosted there via going up and down all the stairs, which ought to be a good indicator of just how many stairs there are.

Utsuki Dojo - Founded by Tadaki Utsuki over thirty years ago, Utsuki Dojo is a branch of the Kyokushin school and teaches full-contact karate. There are classes for children through adult and instructional fees are modest. For those interested in learning, but unable to pay, Utsuki allows for a few 'scholarship' students, who help him clean the dojo in exchange for lessons. More information can be found here.

Wiffle-Waffle - A 24/7 waffle house now stands where the Retrospec building used to stand. It seems to be a perfectly ordinary waffle house. There is a blue futuristic looking mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle.

RECOLLÉ WOODS Just outside of the limits of the Apprassage district lies the Recollé Woods, a forest-like area filled with a variety of trees and woodland creatures such as birds, snakes, raccoons, and maybe the occasional deer or so. There is also a small river and lake deeper in the woods, along with a small sanctioned campground. This is a great area for students taking Environment Science courses, students enrolled in daycamp, or families that want to get away from the city and camp for a little bit.

It's hard to gauge how big the forest is since it seems to go on forever. You could walk for miles and still be buried among the trees. It's best not to stray too far from the city limits.

Wall Maria - Somewhere past the Recollé Woods and in the opposite direction of Bosuma lies a structure made with an unknown, durable substance and a whopping 50 meters in height. From the Attack on Titan canon, Wall Maria is a massive fortress lined with old fashioned cannons mounted on rails and stretches into a circle for kilometers. At each corner of the wall are one of four peripheral districts, all long abandoned, but only one seems to have an opening to enter. In addition, there's a structure for an area known as the Shinganshina District. The Shinganshina District is a fairly primal looking town, no electricity and small cabin-like houses.

Peach Beach and Boardwalk Driving south of the city (or catching a bus) through the suburbs will take you to the Recollé Boardwalk - and, more importantly, the beach. Peach Beach (so lovingly named as there used to be peach orchards where the boardwalk now is...) is a lovely beach that's a crowd favorite during those hot summer months. There's a pier and a number of beachfront shops to be found, and in better weather many people can be found at the beach, swimming or tanning or even surfing.

Most important of all, the Recollé Boardwalk is home to Recollé's own homemade peach ice cream. You haven't had the true Recollé experience until you've tasted it.
Topside Repairs - Located in a small office a little ways off the boardwalk, Topside Repairs might not be the most visually impressive building, but it's a well-kept establishment all the same, and it seems to almost always be open. The services offered almost entirely range around boat repair, although there's been some mention of diving classes being available if you can catch the owner in the right mood. The shop also has a small selection of location-appropriate goods available for purchase, just in case you forgot a fishing rod or dropped your sunscreen in the parking lot on the way to your car.

The Ocean Somehow always in good condition for swimming during the summer, the ocean off of the shore of Recollé is perfect for the everyday beach-goer, the deep-sea fisherman, and the yacht-owning upperclassman. The area is expansive enough for exploration and deep-sea fishing, but characters will find that any ship that tries to sail out past a certain point won't be able to continue onward whether from bad weather, faulty navigation equipment, or what seems to be a weirdly infinite loop of the same path.

In general, the ocean itself is host to a few uninhabited small islands that are the homes of a variety of birds, insects, lizards and turtles. The water itself is ripe with fish, kelp, and even the occasional large mammal such as whales, dolphins and seals.

Jabberwock Island - Somewhere between Recollé and Pesgare, The Central Island of Jabberwock Island from Super Dangan Ronpa 2 has erupted from the ocean and has made itself quite happily at home. This area contains a park, the Jabberwock Island statue, and a courtroom.

FORT MCCOY Fort McCoy, located near the ocean, is Recollé's military base. Considered to be accommodating for all branches of the military, Fort McCoy is home to several active soldiers, retired veterans, recruits-in-training, and their families. Soldiers off-duty or soldiers who have finished their work/training for the day are free to leave the base itself, though the base provides plenty of accommodations for those who live there. With areas for housing and for basic training, Fort McCoy strives to serve its soldiers well.

Though there's a runway, landing decks, and docks the base is absent of planes and ships save for those set up for museum purposes. Perhaps they're all just out on missions for right now. But, come to think of it…when was the last time anyone saw these vessels? Strange.
