Hello! If you would like to form a small group (minimum of two players) to go on a mini-quest throughout the game's landscape searching for an item, clue, or spell to ward off the infection please fill out the form below!

Please note: the mod team will only be providing the item, what it may need to be combined with, the location, and potential troubles they may have searching for it. We will leave how you thread this out up to you.

Characters who are infected may still participate in the daytime hours should you wish! However, your scenarios may be a little...different...

We will also create a small master list of what characters are going after what items so that you may reference it to coordinate and combine your items! Please remember you will need to figure out IC arrangements on your own.

When Togusa and Ms. Marker approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

GRANITE - temporary protection and warding abilities against the undead. Must only be from a gravestone for maximum potential.

Best if mixed with apatite and malachite.

They will be able to collect granite (a few ounces will do, enough for a few necklaces or bracelets) from gravestones in the Recollé cemetery or from old, abandoned tombstones deep in the woods. If they're lucky they can find some crumbling stones, but they may have to purposefully chip away at some gravestones for pieces! They will not be able to immediately learn where to find the other two ingredients, but they will instinctively know that they will have to find someone else who has located these items.

They will mostly be unharmed, though if they linger in the graveyard for too long they will hear an angry snarl of a wolf and feel phantom bites! These bites won't leave actual wounds, but they will sting a bit.

When Li-Na and Rayne approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

NYMPH NECTAR - When sprayed, mollifies werewolves when within three feet of the sprayer. Must be collected from the streams where the nymphs lie and tend to the waters around them. Must not aggravate nymphs.

Most effective if boiled via dragonflame.

With a little brainstorming and trusting their instincts they will find themselves heading for Bosuma! They must enter the woods and venture further in where the flowers are most lush and colorful, following the streams to a small pool where nymphs lie under the water. They will have to negotiate with the nymphs themselves to collect a bottle of their water from this particular pool. The nymphs will require a small sacrifice in exchange; this may be a small token, a secret, or something similar. The girls will know to boil the water with dragonflame, but they will not quite know what that is or where to collect it at this time. They will know they have to find someone else who has collected it.

Problems they may encounter include small, gremlin-like creatures popping out of the bushes to chase after them, vines that snake around their ankles to lure them away from the nymph pool and large, dog-sized bees. Yikes.

When Li-Na and Akira approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

SILVER - When worn, protects the wearer from a werewolf's bite and infection. Should a werewolf touch a wearer, the werewolf shall become immobilized and paralyzed. Time may vary. Must be handmined and pure.

Most effective if crafted into jewelry using weapons made of odinite.

Now...where would they find mines...? The two of them will need to travel to Respatrum and venture into the mines, heading down several levels and to the east away from some of the hotter fires. They will either need to have a way to detect silver embedded in the mines or hope for the best in order to know where to start. Akira's Third Eye might also be able to assist! It will be able to see through layers in the mines, picking up the location of all kinds of gems and minerals including silver. It's only a matter of Akira utilizing it.

With their powers combined, they should be able to reach the crooks and crannies of caves that have a supply of silver they can dig up and clean off. They will also have to be sneaky though! The residents of Respatrum will be suspicious if they draw too much attention to what they're taking, so they will need to find a way out with their goods and hope no one notices.

Other problems they may face are getting lost in the mines, minor cave-ins, exceedingly hot temperatures as they move south before heading east and some little soot monsters that will latch onto them. They're harmless, but if they cling for too long they may cause smoke damage.

While having the silver on its own will protect them from being infected/will immobilize werewolves, they will find more benefits from teaming up with someone who retrieves odinite weapons to help shape the silver into a new shape.

When Li-Na and Albert approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

WHITE SAGE - Collecting and burning this plant will ward ghosts away from areas that they've settled in to haunt. White sage is also a cleansing plant and ghosts will be less likely to possess or harm someone with clear energy.

Most effective if ground and mixed with green mineral salt.

Thanks to their heightened senses, Li-Na and Albert will be able to smell the light scent of sage coming from the outskirts of town in the open fields outside of the city on the way to other locations. They will have to navigate their way through the open wilderness (toward Magatus) and search for the correct plants! They will encounter a variety of plants that may look similar, but they will find that it will take time and patience to collect enough sage.

Some problems they will face is the amount of time for hunting, collecting the semi-rough plant, traveling the distance required, and coming face to face with some karpoi that will not be thrilled they're stealing plants. You can read more about the karpoi here on the monster document! You can try to bargain with them or fight them; feel free to npc this encounter for whatever's most fun for you!

While they'll know that the sage is best if mixed with green mineral salt, they will not immediately know where to locate this, and they will still benefit a bit from collecting and burning the sage.

When Rayne and Elliot approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

GREEN MINERAL SALT - Spreading this salt and mixing it with plants will create a barrier of protection from infection. This salt may also be mixed with water and drank to ward off spirits and prevent physical changes, but too much or too little water will nullify the results. Green mineral salt may only be collected from the cove of a hippocampus.

May also be mixed with white sage to prevent spirit infection.

Asking around or even by instinct, they will realize they have to travel to Pesgare and head out to sea just beyond the seaside village to the hippocampus cove hidden from the main landmarks. These hippocampi will be wary of new humans, but they can be settled either by fighting them or by the power of song! They will respond positively to music, and Rayne and Elliot will notice that the salt is just below the surface of the water growing on some rocks. They will be able to whittle the salt off and collect it from the cove if they have the tools to do so.

Some problems they may face include finding the actual cove, as they will have to take a boat and then swim to find it between the village and the open ocean, persuading the hippocampi to listen to them, and breaking off enough mineral salt to collect and take back. They will also be unaware of how much water is appropriate to mix with the salt to prevent mermaid-ism, so this will take some trial and error and leaves room for them to be infected if they aren't careful! (We will leave this to you guys to play with as you wish.)

They will also be able to seek out others who have white sage and be able to protect themselves from ghosts if they wish!

APATITE - Unearthing this gem will provide grounding properties to hold yourself together. Protects against losing yourself and prevents shadows from disappearing.

Most effective if combined with malachite, and may ward off undead mixed with granite.

The girls will have to travel to Respatrum and travel into the mines to find these minerals! These are not buried too deeply in the earth, but rather they are materials that they can find in the upper levels of the region. They will have to hunt for newly bound stones and try not to get caught! As these are stones that are produced by biological micro-environmental systems they will have the most luck finding these near pools of water where microorganisms grow, rocks fuse together, and the ecosystem cleanses itself out.

Some of the problems the girls will face is finding pools inside a hot region such as Respatrum! They will have to travel and stay near the surface to find a water source. The mines and caves themselves are twisting and turning so they will want to make sure they have a good form of navigation! They will also find small, multicolored salamanders in the pools of water that will try to bite their fingers if they try to pluck the stones out of the water. They're harmless, mostly, but be careful.

They'll be able to use and wear these stones to prevent shades from stealing their shadows and from disappear into shadow form so long as they are touching someone infected. They will also know the stone can be mixed with malachite and granite, but they may not know at first who has those ingredients.

COLD IRON HORSESHOES - When buried or used to surround an enclosure, wards off evil spirits and drives back darkness. May also be mounted to bring the user good luck in avoiding demonic possession and see through demonic trickery.

Best if burned and cooled in dragonflame to expand the range of the barrier.

Horseshoes, huh? While the girls can venture out to Churchill Downs and the horse stables, they may have better luck approaching the hayrides heading straight into Recollé Woods. If they choose to pursue the horses at the stables in the city anyway, they will find that the horses will react negatively to Kara! They will attempt to kick and bite at both girls and they will not be able to approach them.

Heading to the woods, the girls will be able to approach the horses used for the haunted hay rides. The horses will be able to sense Kara's infection and even respond positively, flickering to reveal their monstrous, skeletal form as a sign of kinship. The girls will have to find a way to approach these horses in between hayrides, and get them to hold still long enough to pry their horseshoes off.

Problems they may encounter include citizens of Recollé approaching the area for a hayride, the horses disappearing and flickering out of sight thanks to their ethereal appearance, and getting the horseshoes off in the first place. To the touch, the iron will feel as though it's ice cold, and if Kara touches it for too long she will feel a burning sensation in her palms.

The girls should be able to succeed with some clever planning and using their strengths, but they will know that strengthening and cooling the iron in dragonflame will produce the best results and will need to find someone who's brought the flame back to the city.

When Tsukasa and Chiyo approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

ODINITE - This strong material is solid and pure creating a substance that does not allow other materials to bond with it and create new hybrids. This makes it most effect against GOLEMS. Odinite may be used to disassemble a golem for a short period of time and will protect the wielder from taking on the properties and traits of a golem themselves. So long as they hold odinite, they will retain their human qualities in a golem's presence.

Weapons made of odinite may also be used to craft jewelry or weapons while fortifying silver, most effective against werewolves.

You'd think that they would be able to find this material in Respatrum, but if they check they will be told by the citizens of this region that they are in the wrong location! To find Odinite, they will need to travel all the way out to Magatus. This journey may be seven hours, but if they don't have a reliable source of transportation they will also find two bus tickets printed for them and the directions to Recollé Zoo where a strange, small vehicle will be waiting to take them on their mission.

Upon reaching Magatus, they will find that the snowy season has returned and the citizens of the city are out and bargaining to trade items, unloading new shipments from various trucks and suppliers and restocking their supplies. Asking around, they will learn that they can find odinite in the mountains, hidden in caves heading higher and higher north. They may wish to take a guide (an NPC) who won't actually ask them questions but will ask them to strike a bargain and trade for his services. Alternatively, they can also find odinite weapons in some of the shops, but they will have to barter and trade for them as well and the price will be even higher and harder to negotiate for.

Some problems they may face include the weather conditions (cold, snowy, ice everywhere especially in the mountains), not being able to trade the correct items or anything good enough for their guide's help or for the weapons (we will leave it up to you, but think of something very valuable! Something of great value personally or monetarily would count), and also carrying the odinite back may be difficult! Odinite is a very heavy material and even if they only obtain a small amount, a cube that fits in the palm of their hand will still weigh about five pounds. They may also experience trouble getting back to the city. Weather conditions continue to worsen as fall sets in. They will have to be strong and navigate on their own should their bus encounter dangers on the way.

Upon arrival to Recollé, they can take the small pieces of odinite and protect themselves from a golem infection but also break down golems that attack them (with player permission!). Likewise, they will know that odinite and silver will work against werewolves, but they will not know who has obtained silver without asking around.

When Kasen and Amelia approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

DRAGONFLAME - Fire cured specifically from the mouth of a dragon, this flame can be used to ward off mummies as they fear the burning of their bandages. Must retain its temperature to be effective.

Can be used to boil nymph nectar to repel werewolves and burn and cool iron to fight off demons.

Rumor has it that there are plenty of dragons nearby, especially about an hour away in the region of Respatrum. The two of them may travel straight down into the region and bypass most of the citizens to head to the deepest, darkest parts. Dragons lurk below and are often kept to fire the kilns and ovens of the Respatrum workers. Collecting the flames will be difficult, especially trying to keep the temperature itself! They will have to look around Respatrum for a heat-sealing container. These can be bartered/traded/bought from citizens in Respatrum, though the citizens will be suspicious of why they need such a container.

They may get lucky and will encounter a baby dragon! These dragons are more prone to being sweet and loving and will happily spit up a few balls of flames for these two. However, where there's a baby there's a mama, and that's where the trouble begins.

Problems the two will encounter include finding their way through the caves and caverns down to the deepest parts of Respatrum to the south where the dragons live, getting a container to bring the fire back up to the surface, collecting enough flames to bring with them, and facing off a large dragon that will be angry and try to burn them alive. That's fun! But with their skills, they should be able to dodge and hold the dragon back just enough to escape if they work together.

When Nazuna and Apollo approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

Malachite - A transformation stone that promotes healing and change. This stone, when worn, casts a powerful shield over the wearer to prevent them from being attacked by harpy beaks and talons. While toxic for human consumption, grinding these stones into smelling salts will also temporarily revert a harpy's nature.

Can be combined with granite and apatite to ward against the undead.

The first problem that the two of them will encounter is trying to figure out what, exactly, malachite is. It's not necessarily a stone they can find in any of the regions, but maybe that's for the best. They don't have to travel much further than the Recollé Art Museum. They will be able to find small malachite stones for purchase in the gift shop! However, they will have to go through the museum itself to get through and to the gift shop. Obtaining the stones won't be a huge problem, and if they want to stop there they can! However, they will also feel a strong urge to fulfill the rest of the assignment and that includes grinding down the stones.

This is where they will run into trouble. While the toxins from the stone will simply knock a harpy out, it's very dangerous for humans to ingest or smell the stone for long. They will have to find a way to protect themselves while grinding down the stone and find a container to hold the grindings to keep on their person.

Problems they may run into on this assignment is crowded museum days, expenses in buying malachite stones in bulk (and they may be sold out!), grinding the stones and protecting themselves and luring creatures such as golems closer if they aren't careful.

They may stop at protection against harpies, but they may also reach out to fellow Retrospecters to find who has granite and who has apatite to maximize the stone's uses.

When Byakuren and Kyouko approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

VIEWMASTER GOGGLES - An item that when worn shields the wearer from losing their sense of self and inspires creativity, self-awareness, and imagination. When placed on robots, these goggles will temporarily rewire those who have been infected to remind them of the beauty of humanity.

Glass must be melded to goggles via iridessence for effects to work.

Strangely, this almost sounds like a toy. But rest assure these goggles won't easily be found in just any toystore! Byakuren and Kyouko will have to venture into the Towers and start checking out every electronics shop, toy shop, and sporting goods store in the area looking for the pieces to combine and create these viewmaster goggles.

Asking storeclerks for the item themselves will net very little results. However, as they continue finding pieces to combine, their sharpened senses will help them locate each remaining piece and instinct will instruct them on how to create the goggles themselves.

The problems these two will face will be holiday shoppers crowding the stores, time spent searching for the appropriate materials, and taking apart and handcrafting the goggles themselves. Once they have retrieved a good set of goggles (swim goggles or laboratory goggles will do, though trial and error will be necessary to find the best fit), they will suddenly realize they have procure a clean sheet of microscope glass (available at science resource centers or stores) to replace the plastic lenses and meld glass to the goggles with iridessence. The thin, milky texture of the iridessence will act as a glue and attach the glass to the goggles. With this sheer layer it will cover the naked eye, providing a view full of color, images, and objects generated from pure imagination.

They will need to find someone who has obtained iridessence to get the full effects.

This whistle will cause werewolves to stop in their tracks and even run away from their prey. If blown enough, it may even cause temporary clarity to bring a werewolf to their senses.

Can't believe these two girls are going graverobbing. Instinct will allow Mio and Sakura to brainstorm a little and come to the conclusion that they will have to venture into the deepest and darkest parts of the Recollé cemetery in order to find old crypts containing their prize. With their newly heightened senses, they'll be able to see through the dark and venture far and away from the main entrance.

As they explore the cemetery, they will eventually come across a set of wooden tombstones, clawed up and torn to shreds with clawmarks in the dirt around them. They will have to dig six feet under to find a set of whistles resting on a coffin below. Strangely, the coffin itself seems to be made of silver, though there are several clawmarks on the lid as well.

Problems that the girls may face is navigating the cemetery itself, as it's fairly large, the appearance of other monsters and spooks (PCs or an occasional ghost horse), shadows darkening their vision enough that it's nearly impossible to see and digging up the grave in the first place. Disturbing the coffin in any way will cause it to shake and rattle and a loud howl will ring out through the night. Try to only take what you need.

The girls will be able to escape the cemetery without too much trouble, and they should be able to ask around or find silver chains for their new whistles. It's up to them if they share these devices with others or not.

When Rose and Anna approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

SUNDROP - A rare flower found in the wilderness that emits its own personal glow, rich with vitamin d and natural sunlight. These flowers are warm to the touch and will radiate an almost ethereal glow bright enough to drive off and potentially burn vampires. This flower will also create a temporary barrier around its holder.

May also be dipped in a binding agent such as iridessence or moonsand to reveal hidden features of demons and spirits (iridessence for demons, moonsand for ghosts.)

Up for a camping trip? The two girls will have to pack up and set out into the wild open fields beyond Recollé in the expanse between the city and the region of Magatus. The fields, crawling with monsters and wild foliage, will be somewhat difficult to navigate and they will have to travel fairly far to get to a rocky cliff-like area off to the east. Thanks to the chances they've undergone by way not not being infected (i.e. their enhanced senses), they will understand this instinct almost immediately and be able to navigate their way there. They can travel by car or on foot if they're really adventurous. By car it would take them about three hours and by foot…well, it'd be a while.

As they enter the cliffside they'll find that the area is very dark except for a few shallow pops of colors. As they approach they will find that the colors are other kinds of plants, overgrowing and trailing over the rocks and crags around them. Some of these plants will be poisonous so they should avoid touching them! With their newly heightened senses, they will be able to catch the brief scent that warns them off so long as they pay attention.

They will have to climb very high in these cliffs, wary of the rocky cliffsides and the narrow ledges that are provided to them. As they keep going though they will find a round patch of sundrop flowers, a bright golden lily-esque plant that's blindingly bright and an interior that fades from yellow to orange to red and back. They'll be able to collect the flowers, but warning! They will also have to be wary of this guy who enjoys the sunlight and is nesting close by.

All of the above are problems they'll face out there, but with a little survival skill, combat skills and extra endurance they should be able to succeed! Once they get off of the cliffside the bird will leave them alone and they'll be able to return to the city.

While they may not know who has moonsand, Rose may have iridessence in her possession already as well (depending when this is ICly set.)

It might be a little harder to know where to even begin looking for these things, but a little brainstorming and traveling through the city will ignite their instincts and lead them straight to…the Stardust. That's right. The roller rink/ice rink/bowling alley.

The girls will have to stake out the area and wait for the rink's weekly Glow In the Dark skate to come up. During this time, disco lights, fun music, and waves of pulsing lights will flood the skating rink.

The two of them will have to sneak in to the electrical/maintenance room on the third floor and search the premises to locate the circuit breaker that controls all of the additional lights and strobes. It'll be a box on the wall with several wires and plugs and knobs and the like that control the amount of energy pumped out, the lights that are in sync with the music and the main lighting of the skating rink.

They will have to figure out the right combination of wires to pull and reroute (judging by the lights and colors in the skating rink) in order to keep things running smooth and push the wires aside to uncover a large, smooth disc-like object. Flickering multiple colors, the circuitbyte will be able to be removed only if everything is rewired around it!

If neither of them are technical enough to do this, they could just rip out wires and hope for the best.

Problems they face include waiting for the right time to do this, getting into the maintenance room, rerouting the system and possibly crashing the whole system. But if they're smart enough to reconnect as they disconnect it'll be easy to lift the items they need and get out of there.

Once they have the circuitbyte, they will notice a small button on the underside. Pressing this button will activate the device, and setting it on the ground will allow them 10 seconds to back off before it launches the counterwave to combat evil robots.

When Rayne and Mio approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

CAT’S EYE - A small gem hidden in the lush, elaborate foliage beyond the trees used to ward off evil spirits, demonic possessions and bad energy. When worn, this gem will create a barrier that will not allow harmful energies to cross a certain line.

May also be mixed with Eye of Newt for a stronger barrier.

While the Recollé Woods may be filled with trees, it wouldn’t exactly qualify as lush or elaborate. With some thinking, the girls will realize they need to head out to Bosuma to check out the area beyond the trees. As they enter the forest, they’ll find all sorts of bright, almost tropical flowers guiding their way and standing out from the slightly dark overhang of the region itself. They’ll have to make their way past vines and trip their way over roots to keep walking until the area clears up from the trees. This will take them quite a while!

As the grass grows taller and the trees thin out, they will also find themselves being followed by some cute little guys that may turn them around and get them lost in the forest. If they befriend these creatures, they will distract the girls and want them to stay and play forever! But if they ignore them enough, they’ll fade away into flower petals and gather in the wind, directing them on a path.

They’ll hear the sound of rushing water as they finally clear the trees and see a large, expansive river. Across on the other river bank rests a large temple with a cat’s head carved into the tip. Floating in the water are several wooden barrels, and these seem to be the only way they can get across. As they hop from barrel to barrel, they’ll have to not only keep their balance lest they fall into the river and get swept further downstream, they will also have to ensure they don’t wait too long and the barrel collapses under them.

As they get across the river and enter the temple, they’ll hear a chorus of meowing kitties as they enter further and further inside. As they navigate their way through the winding maze, they will find themselves at the center with several large, looming cat statues. The eyes glint and sparkle, and it seems as though they’ll have to figure out how to pry the cat’s eye directly from…well, the cat’s eye. The moment they dislodge the last eye, the temple will begin to shake and crumble around them.

All of the above are problems they may face on this journey! However, with luck, skill and speed they’ll be able to accomplish this task and return to the city with the cat’s eye gems. They will then maybe wish to look for someone who has Eye of Newt to combine their forces.

Joint Juice: An oil-based substance that can be used to ease aching muscles, stiff joints, and combat against the stiff appearance of machinery and evil robots. Must be milked from cows of the outskirts.

May also be mixed with moonsand for a thick paste.

Getting to the outskirts should be no problem for these two. Just beyond the city limits and in the direction of Magatus they'll find wide open fields, roads, and an expansive landscape ahead of them. As they venture, they will find that the foliage is mostly things like trees, wheat, tumbleweeds, etc, but the paths will be fairly clear. They will likely run into animals such as frogs, rabbits, snakes, and maybe some deer. Cranes will fly by overhead, and in general they won't even have to go that far! They will only have to travel a few miles outside before they reach their target.

Their target, if they're not careful, will be able to sneak up on them and begin stealing any items on their person. But these shifty cows are pretty slow and can otherwise be controlled. The girls will have to get the cows to hold still long enough and milk the cows to grab enough oil-esque liquid (think like a pint.)

While that part is easy, their real trouble is that sitting still for so long will attract other monsters that may not be so slow or harmless. The girls will have to work quickly to get the appropriate amount of joint juice and fend off predators that will be interested in attacking them.

Once they've collected enough juice, they should have an easier time getting back to the city even though they will have to navigate their way back! It will take them twice as long to return, almost as if the outskirts don't want them heading back with a cure. Upon reaching city limits and escaping the trail of monsters, they will be able to use the joint juice against anyone who has transformed into an evil robot, and they may wish to seek out whoever has moonsand to combine their powers.

Tunnelchimes: A set of magically enhanced windchimes crafted in the deepest mines and created with blown glass, stones, and flecks of sand. These chimes are rare and will need to be activated to allow a ward to spread around the area of which they are hung. This barrier will also reveal the true nature of demons and temporarily revert possession.

May be tied to a cold iron horseshoe for a larger barrier.

While Albert might not know what this means, Mio should be able to recognize their location by the hint of "mines." Luckily, it won't take them very long to reach Respatrum from their current location!

Hot as usual, the pair will have to venture into this region and set off for the open marketplace. They will not have access to the mines at this time, it seems, but their heightened instincts will allow them to see and sense items that belong to the tunnelchimes. Unfortunately for them, each pipe (five in total) appears to be located at a different stall.

Mio and Albert will have to use their skills and potentially cunning nature to explore the marketplace, talk to vendors (you're free to make up NPCs as necessary, think NPCs who have created homemade wares such as cookware, weapons, armor, etc) and locate the five chimes. They will be small, periwinkle-colored tubes with a hollow metal noise that can be strung together onto a star-shaped topper to dangle together and clank to create a gentle, melodic sound. The pieces of the chimes will be spread out over a mile radius in the marketplace. They can be honest and try to haggle for them, or they can be really sneaky and outright steal them. The more that they steal, however, the higher their chances are of getting caught.

Upon collecting all of the pieces and stringing the chimes together, they will then have to figure out how to activate its magic. The chimes are icy to the touch, but if they're lit up to an extremely warm temperature they will change color to a deep red and the sound will become deeper, warding off evil around them.

Problems they'll face on this journey include extreme temperatures, trying to find the chimes, obtaining them/potentially dealing with angry vendors if they try to trick them, and crafting together the chime. Once the spell is activated, they will not have to light the chimes again and this item will be good to go.

They can hang this anywhere in Recollé that they'd like and it will protect an area up to three miles. Combining it with a cold iron horseshoe will up that radius to protecting an entire district.

Stake n' Shake: an item that cuts down wooden material and infuses them with an essence potent to vampire. This machine shapes any piece of wood into a small dagger-esque shape that will glow green when activated. Please be advised use of Stake n' Shake may leave a user smelling of garlic.

Vague, isn't it? This one will be a bit trickier to navigate and understand, but once they start brainstorming about places they may be able to locate a lot of wood and trees they'll realize they must venture into Recollé Woods. Their heightened senses will help them here in order to see through the trees and also follow the scent of garlic down through the woods, off the path of the ghostly hayrides, and into an overgrown, thorny mess. They will have to worry about brambles and thorns snagging their clothes and their skin, and it appears there is no other clear path!

As they walk through this massive, overgrown path they will find the tunnel growing more and more narrow as they're squeezed out on the other side into…a hedgemaze.

This hedgemaze is large and towering with walls higher than the eye can see. The entrance behind them closes and the other way for them to venture is forward. The maze will have obstacles such as ensnaring vines, sharp, prickly walls that slam at them face-first, and a few small fire-breathing lizards that will chase them through the maze and purposefully redirect them. They will have to work together! If they try to split up, they will find that the maze reacts fairly aggressively and will physically bind them together to complete a three-legged race to the end.

They may use their senses and instincts to guide them, or they may try to recruit the lizards to help them burn a path through the hedges. The scent of garlic will be even more potent as they get closer and closer to the center.

At the center of the maze they'll find a pedestal holding what looks like a large pencil sharpener. With a button on the side of this machine, the size will shrink to pocket-size or enlarge to the size of a moped to allow for wood-chopping of all shapes and sizes. As they approach and take the machine off the pedestal, they'll hear a loud, angry roar as a spindly, vine-esque creature emerges from the hedges.

They can fight if they want, but the best bet is to run straight through the maze and don't look back. So long as they keep running and don't look at the monster they will be able to find a clear path ahead to scramble out of the maze and reappear back in the woods with their prize.

The entrance will close again and they will be left with the device. They can collect wood as they please and create as many stakes as they need/want for themselves and the city at large.

Oktorock: a stone projectile from the mouth of the Octorok. These stones must be caught from the mouths of these creatures and may be used to launch at incoming zombies. Enhanced with warding abilities, these stones will stop zombies in their path and they will continue to walk in place.

May also be used to strike harpies from mid-air.

The Octorok, as they might suspect, is an octopus-like creature that can be found rarely in the outskirts/wilderness beyond the city limits, but they will also have an easier time heading down to Peach Beach and heading straight into the ocean! Hiding out in small tide pools and chasms a short distance from the shore, the Octoroks will appear in small clusters and huddle together.

However, these creatures won't be very happy that someone's trespassing and they will immediately attack. Aiming at both Kurt and Mio, they will launch projectiles such as rocks, fruit, and even small bombs at them to try and scare them away!

The two of them will have to work together to wrangle these creatures, dodge the projectiles and catch the rocks thrown at them to be used against zombies. These rocks will glow a soft gold color that will be seen by those who are uninfected, making it easier to identify them. The Octoroks can be fought by generating a shield and striking them with their own objects; however, they may wish to hold off on that until they collect a sizable amount of rocks.

As they collect the rocks and begin to head back to the shore, they will feel themselves weighing down and sinking into the water as they go. The rocks themselves aren't particularly heavy but they seem to have a gravitational field that makes it hard for those holding them to leave the ocean. They will have to struggle against the waves and the weight (or find another way) to get back to the sands of Peach Beach.

When Bart and Lucy approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

Cherry Bomb: a small explosive picked from the trees along the forest swamp. Volatile to touch, these half-fruit half-weapon items can be activated by twisting off the stem and throwing them. Best used to ward off mummies as the impact will instill fear of obliteration.

May also be used against vampires and werewolves for flash flames.

It will take some thinking to realize the forest isn't the same as the woods, but the two of them will find themselves heading out to Bosuma and straight through the trees into the heart of the forest. Heading along, they will venture into a swampy area of the forest where a familiar Swamp Witch's house is. Lucy may be able to assist in locating this area.

As they venture into the swamp, the ground will be harder to tread as it sinks beneath their feet and water swarms around their feet. They will have to walk through the sludge and approach the largest part of the swamp, right in the eyesight of the witch's house.

Surrounding the pond/swamp will be several tall, black trees with bright red orbs hanging from their branches. The cherry bombs will be easy to spot but hard to reach, as the branches extend over the water where something seems to lurk beneath the surface. They can access these bombs by climbing the trees and inching out on the branches, shaking them and trying to fish the bombs out of the water, or another method to retrieve them. If they drop any bombs in the water (or if they themselves fall in the water), the ripples will grow larger a dorsal-finned foe will appear to try and wrestle them under the water.

Problems they will face are these creatures beneath the surface and obtaining the bombs themselves! As a merperson, the longer Bart lingers in the swamp the stronger the urge will be to summon these creatures and he may even turn on Lucy to join them. As for Lucy, as part-mummy, she can handle the bombs but they will immediately burn her hands if she holds them for longer than three seconds. These will send little shocks up her limbs and will grow stronger and stronger the most she engages with the bombs.

If they can get around these issues and obtain a handful of cherry bombs, they should be able to get back out of Bosuma and head back to Recollé! However, they will also find the effects of their infections heightened that evening.

When Yusuke and Sanji approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

Eye of Newt: a chemically-reactive mixture drawn from the eyes of the Giant Sea Newt. This mixture must be pulled from the creature's tearducts and when applied will dissolve and break apart slime.

Cat's Eye may be dipped into Eye of Newt to create a strong barrier against demonic possession and evil spirits.

I'm not even sorry I'm putting Sanji on a boat, but how romantic. They can have a nice getaway to the lovely region of Pesgare! Once they arrive, the pair will be able to check on the villagers and ask around about the legendary Sea Newt and where they might be able to find it. Citizens of the region will point to the south of the region where there are several large tide pools and shallow sea water away from the docks and the main village.

As they head out to seek the creature, once they enter the tide pool area they'll find themselves swept away, heading down a flowing river of sea water and heading further and further away to an even larger pool. They can try to abandon ship but the water's moving fairly fast. Yusuke might be able to come up with something to slow down the water by freezing it, maybe.

Eventually their path will lead them to a large, luminescent tide pool surrounded by coral, plants, and even small fish. And, you know, a giant newt that's roughly ten feet long and comfortably curled up on the rocks by the pool.

Yusuke and Sanji will have to find a way to disturb its peace and get it engaged to release tears! This can be via fighting it, jabbing it in the eye, or even just telling it a very emotional story. The newt will respond appropriate (anger tears, pain tears, or sad tears) but it will also be alarmed it's been disturbed! It will try to knock them under the water with its tail, acting far more aggressive than it normally would and going after both of them. It doesn't seem to like the slime Sanji's dragged in…

Once the tears are collected they can make their escape via hopping through different tide pools and climbing back up the cliffside from which they slid downstream. It will allow them to get back to the surface of Pesgare and away from the newt, at least.

Yusuke will be able to handle the Eye of Newt just fine (maybe not for too long since it's still technically a chemical), but if Sanji touches it his hand will start to dissolve! So like. Just a thought.

With that said, they may also wish to help out and find someone with Cat's Eye to up the protection of the city, but that's up to them.

When Akira and BooYusuke approach the mailbox outside of Wiffle-Waffle, they will receive a note from the mailbox. The writing on the bottom is smudged, but it will state the following:

Encounchtra: a large shell that may be directed toward merfolk to mute their song, steal their voice, and temporarily give them legs and human-esque features to break the sea spell. These shells are protected by the hippocampi who have cherished these shells for generations, pouring their secrets and their songs into the shell's core.

May also be blown into to steer shadows away from Shades.

Why does Yusuke keep going to Pesgare? Why are you all doing this to him? Off they go on their merry little adventure straight into the heart of Pesgare. Interesting enough, they probably won't even need to stop in the village since they've encountered the hippocampi before and will be able to find them in the same cove as before.

While they'll greet Yusuke warily, and then warmly once they recognize him, Akira will receive unsure whinnying from these beautiful creatures because BEGONE, DEMON. They are not fans of the monster viruses that are going around and will try to keep Akira out of the water of their sea cave. It's a darkness they seem to recognize, too, which makes them more prone to being nervous.

It'll be difficult for them as the hippocampi will be even more protective than usual, but if Yusuke and Akira get a close look down at the bottom of the pool in the cave they'll spot several purple conch shells, pink streams flowing out of them and mixing into the water. Unlike the water that led them down into the cave in the first place, trying to swim through the hippocampi pool will prove to be much harder than it looks! It's almost like trying to swim through jello once they dip below the surface and they'll struggle for breath. Not to mention the hippocampi will swarm around them and try to shoo them off, flippers pushing and splashing them.

The pair will have to be creative in how they can obtain the shells. It's possible that they can use some of their Personas, or they can find a way to make peace with the hippocampi again and explain that they're trying to heal members of the city of Recollé. They're fairly understanding horses.

Eventually, they'll be able to reach the shells and pull them out of the water. They'll hear beautiful music, a song that merfolk are compelled to sing along with and that ensnares their voice to disarm them. They may be lucky and be able to snag a few shells, too.

The above are problems they're going to run into, not to mention actually carrying the shells back without drawing the attention of mermaids in open water...but hopefully they'll have a safe journey back.

Given that Recollé is a city, it may be hard for them to find wild bamboo, but from the mouths that feed...? It might be time for them to visit the Recollé Zoo. Akira and Clover will have to either purchase zoo admission or sneak in at night to enter the zoo and find their way into the panda exhibit.

Surrounded with bamboo trees and plenty of shoots for them to take, the two of them will have an easy enough time finding the materials they need. However, as always, animals have a higher chance of recognizing something is wrong with a person and the pandas will react to the two of them being infected. The pandas will also not be happy that Akira and Clover are attempting to take their food and will charge at the two of them, chasing them up a tree to corner them and get them away from their bamboo. They will become irritated and lunge at them every time they approach.

Akira and Clover may be able to use some of their monster powers or other abilities to sneak past the pandas' defenses, but they must collect several whole stalks of bamboo to take with them.

After escaping from the panda exhibit, they will then have to transplant the plants to a pot and they can be left anywhere.

Exposure to the bamboo will temporarily clear their minds as well, but it will cause some confusion and disorientation when in contact with the bamboo. They will have to fight for full concentration while attending to this task, in addition to their problems with the pandas and knowing how to plant the shoots.
