Newly housed in a remote location attached to the Recollé Public Library, one only has to pass through the invisible door scanners to access Zee's current office. Upon entering, users will see an upgraded suite, three unmarked (and closed) doors along the wall behind Zee's desk, and windows overlooking the city.
-Threads with Zee may be used for AC/bonus points should players choose to do so.
-Threads with Zee may be used to gain mission assignments or discuss plot points, game events, etc.
-Threads with Zee may be cut short if they are irrelevant solely to save on mod-time as well.
-Unless stated otherwise, assume that he is always reachable for Retrospec users.

What can you tell me about this alien parasite and what it's doing so far? Or is it still dormant?

- it replaced one of my eyes for starters
- can also forcibly bring me back to life after i die
- apparently it'll eventually "consume me," not sure if this is literally physically or mentally or both
- and once it does that its goal is to somehow destroy the world
so... yeah if you've got a way to stop that i'd love to hear it

You haven't died recently too, have you?
There was a way to stop other curses, but that wasn't exactly a sentient threat. This parasite is living...we'd have to go in and do some more research on it, maybe alter some things to pull the threads out of your essence that're in charge of its negative effects.
More or less yes, I think there's a way to try but I'd have to meddle a little in a way you might not like.

I didn't do anything, technically, but yeah. That's what the company does. Everyone on the app is someone whose world got damaged or outright destroyed and you're a part of what's left of it. Your soul is a house for the strands that make up who you are.
Memories, powers, all of that kind of stuff? That comes from strands being added back into you to create the person you once were.
I was hoping someone explained this but obviously not.
My best hope is fielding the strands of your particular soul and blocking/erasing it before it's auto-sorted back into you.

But yeah. Sorry. The past-hole is definitely you. I'm not entirely proud of who I was either, but maybe that's where the whole "new vessel and set of memories" is supposed to help. Give us something else to strive to be instead of only being who we were.
It's possible. They would leave you as an incomplete soul and that's a little more dangerous but given you just told me about your parasite flower maybe that's not such a bad alternative.
With the project, strands have to be added every now and then to make sure you guys remain stable. It's why at least once a month something comes back to you.
Doing it would mean taking your essence as it is and meddling a little to instill blockers on it itself. I'm thinking that what tech did when they manipulated some of the strands to make them less volatile.
I'm surprised they didn't catch on that your flower's actually sentient and evil.
It obviously alters who you are, but we've never really had an interest in actively getting you guys killed so we try to stop it when we can.
The short answer? Metaphysical science. Your souls are a tangible thing but it's a concept that's altered enough.

If it's only that part of you, I wouldn't say it's entirely incomplete either. Just...not as complete as it could be. Sort of like playing a video game and finishing the main story but not completing all of the side quests.
Not that you guys are in a game, but you get my point.
I don't...have an answer, really. The company has its own set of rules and policies and I sort of wish I'd read my contract a little more closely before signing on but given the current circumstances it looks like we can change all of that now.
Anyway, it's the first part I'm interested in. Even with everything you've regained and remembered, you don't feel different. It all just becomes a part of you eventually.
It's just one of the strange and fascinating parts of the project...
