[ Sooooooo.... Like she told James that she would try to go to his office hours and he did provide them, so Natalia is going through the proper channels so she's going to try to go to meet the guy during his office hours, her hair done up properly and such and...

Let's see what this guy looks like, let's see what the office looks like! Let's maybe request something or another? She's going to try, anyway. ]

[It takes some loitering probably and asking around but eventually she'll learn his office hours and be able to enter the Towers and head up to the highest penthouse suite. The office she enters looks very similar to the picture above with plush furniture, white and wood items, and good lighting. There's even a fishtank in the wall home to a few gorgeous tropical fish.

And sitting at his desk behind a computer is a man. He appears to be maybe in his late twenties, possibly early thirties though it's a little hard to tell. Brown hair, blue eyes, somewhat sharp features and ears that stick out just a little. His hair's perfectly styled and even at work he's dressed in a white button up shirt, slacks, and a black vest.

But he looks up when she enters the office and gives her a once-over, identifying her on sight based on the files he has access to.]

Ms. Fairweather. [A grin and a greeting, at least.] To what do I owe the pleasure?

As charming though I personally find the idea of doing nothing to save our beleaguered authority figures, it seems that's not going to stand today.

[Accompanying the text is...uh. Well, it's a selfie Cumore has taken, just because that's who he is as a person. There's also Rossiu Adai sitting on the floor nearby, looking like he really doesn't want to be here, and what sure does look like a bunch of dead chimeras in the tunnel along with them.

It's a very artistic shot. Or, well, as artistic as it can get given that it's taken by a person sitting on the floor after all of that. The tunnel admittedly looks sort of...dark? In that way that mirrored glass tends to when you expose it to fire.]

Not yet, Lucy. Well there is, certain requirements need to be met and all, but I'm working on getting the thing unlocked. The monsters will stay dead at least so you and Kurt can return with the right group and supplies when the door's ready.

I have some questions. There's a lot of plant life out here that's new? Or alien? Do you know if the environment they're found in is the best for them? And do you think it'd be okay to pot them and move them, if not? Or even if it is?

[ She sends a picture of a hot pink flower that Hinata named the Marisian Sweetheart. ]

Chiyo! Absolutely not. [This is probably after her arrangement of Valentine's stuff with Sakichi and therefore she's in Zee's good graces for now.]

It might be both. New and alien. Mostly new. I'm not a botanist or anything and I think that leaving everything where it is is best for them, but you work at a flower shop, don't you? You could probably move them and cultivate them to see how they grow.

It'd be a shame not to try.

3/3; TEAM REDHEAD (Elliot, Chuuya, Futaba)

[ The return trip to Recolle had gone smoothly, if not a bit nerve-wracking for Elliot thanks to carrying a mysterious vial that they had gotten from the forest. He spent the whole trip nervous that he was going to drop and break it, but luckily it managed to survive the trip. While they'd been in agreement they should take these vials to Retrospec to figure out what they were? By the time they gotten back however, it had become very late. So Chuuya, Elliot, and Futaba all agreed to go home, take a shower and get some rest before meeting back at Zee's office in the morning.

Well, it was now morning. Elliot stood outside Zee's office, freshly clean and rested. He was really too nervous to go inside a Retrospec employee's office alone, so he waited patiently for the other two to arrive. When he spotted them, he'll stand up straight and politely call out to them. ]

Oh hey! Morning!

[chuuya gives him a little nod as he heads over, stifling a little yawn-- look, he'd had a lot to catch up on, he might've been up a little late. he removes his hat, at least, but the coat stays hanging from his shoulders.]

You brought it with you, right?

[...sure, elliot is one of the people who he's pretty sure wouldn't forget, but. you know. making sure.]

[ James told the others that they would all meet up outside Zee's office at 3pm, but like hell was he gonna let them actually be here for this. So instead, he shows up at 2:30 alone. This shouldn't take that long anyway.

Thankfully, getting some rest overnight has given him the chance to clean up, change his clothes, and get his prosthetic arm on again. It's been so long since he last wore it, he almost feels off-balance again, like he'll fall over on his left from the extra weight.

He pats his pocket to double check Zee's phone is in there. And then...it takes him a few minutes to work up the courage to actually enter the office. But when he's ready, he takes a deep breath, knocks on the door, and enters. ]

[It's after team redhead and it means that Zee's definitely eating candy, his coffee's gone cold by now, and the computer monitor is blissfully blank of footage from the four groups. Everyone's back and he has his chin propped up with his elbow, clicking through some files when James enters.

His expression's neutral as he examines James carefully, thinking about what Natalia's said. There's a strange twinge of intrigue that his stupid heart stone's radiating despite the fact it's locked in a drawer.]

Mr. Barnes. [...] Or would you prefer to be called James? [He's pretty sure what this is about given James has his phone, but he can be polite.]

Togusa's morning shift helping set up for the Founder's Day celebration hasn't settled his nerves about this at all. He got the brush-off from the Chief, but that little display at the parade only made him more suspicious about what she knows about Retrospec. But she isn't saying a word about it.

Well, Togusa has had one full night of sleep in his bed: time to get back to work. Notably, Togusa takes the time to change into civvies and he disarms (not even hanging on to his revolver) before heading to Carlisle's office. Of all the places he would have looked for the man, he didn't think to just see if any of the Retrosepc people had a regular public office in The Towers.

Even though Carlisle, himself, has only been a part of the network for a month, it feels like this has been a very long time coming. Anxiety and trepidation are at the forefront of Togusa's mind, projected by the heart stone he is keeping with him. He has his questions, but he also promised Carlisle that he would be here to listen.

Togusa's hand shakes when he knocks, and he cautiously opens the door. "Mr. Carlisle?" He honestly doesn't know what to expect from the man.

[recollecters]

[Sometime after Chuuya, Futaba, and Elliot leave Zee's busy checking on the status of the Magatus group's arrival back to the city via his computer and he's hardly paying attention to the time. It's Saturday and Founder's Day to boot. He's kind of on the clock but at the same time he's still dressed in jeans and his v-neck and eating some candy at his desk.

The door opens and he looks up then, an unreadable look on his face.]

Mr. Togusa. Come in, the door's open. [He picks up the nerves and he doesn't know what to think about it, not entirely surprised but unsure of what to do to ease it either. So he does nothing.] And have a seat. Sorry, I'm just checking on the last set of arrivals.

hey, zee. with so much going on didn't get much of a chance to think about it until now, but that night we came across the lodge, me and a couple others went poking around magatus. that old journal the black wolf gave us got me thinking about it again, what with all those mysterious deaths and disappearances in it.

we found one cabin with silver bullets and all kinds of notes about werewolves, moon phases, you get it. the thing that i can't stop thinking about is these scratches out on the front porch--fresh things, like one of the wolves was trying to show us something. we found a human skeleton buried under the porch. you got any resources or connections to figure out who that poor guy was?

That part is a little more concerning to me considering you found the wolf problem. And the wolf. It's hard to say since it can take literally decades for the human body to decompose enough for it to be a skeleton, but I bet we could run some DNA tests at least. See if we have any results.

This is going to sound weird, but did you bring any of the bones back?

Zee. I wanted to thank you for actually letting us go home for a bit during all of that. There were some pretty intense moments, and a day to actually collect ourselves and gather supplies before the final push was an actual lifesaver. I'm going to send you a gift basket, which I assume is okay to send to your office.

However, I have a bit of business I wanted to address with you, as well. I don't know if you can actually comment, but I'm curious about the outside world. I don't mean Magatus and the other places, though, I mean places like Phoenix, or Hong-Kong.

Do those places exist? Can we actually contact them? Now that the barrier is down, can we actually send things like emails to people outside, or is that all gone for good?

Of course, Pen. Some things took longer than we wanted them to and the recovery time was necessary before seconding you into the last round of fighting. Plus it gave me time to examine the information I got from your adventure before you went through the lodge.

...you don't have to do that, but thank you. If you'd like to that's fine.

But right. Business.

The world as you know it still exists, though maybe not in the way you can get to just yet. The barrier for the next layer is down, but there are still things messing with the lines of communication we're working on. Some things can get through but most things can't. I wouldn't say "gone for good", but "gone until we figure it out" might be more accurate.

My name is Albert Wesker, and I would prefer to be called such regardless of what your network has my name listed under; it's a matter of personal preference at this point. I would like to speak to you regarding options going forward, particularly those regarding what happens when the restoration process is complete, as well as possibilities for potential employment within Retrospec itself.

I understand if you're disinterested in conversation, given that you likely know better than most what I've done in my past life. However, hopefully you're still willing to consider discussion on these points to be worthwhile.

I believe you are actually the first person to question employment within Retrospec itself which I find to be interesting. Most people have been asking how to make restoration stop or just letting it go on as normal.

I wouldn't say I'm disinterested. I'm not sure how helpful I can be, but one of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to sate my curiosity while getting paid for it.

So. Consider the floor open for discussion, at least, even if opportunity isn't. Mostly because I'm curious what you have to say.

(And yes, your memories...sure...are something.)

Baren comes bearing gifts at least - a bottle of whiskey, probably from the Inkwell's supply - and he knocks during "office hours" with a hum. Tanuki-san sits on Baren's shoulder, just in case. Zee hasn't proven himself to be anyone hostile, much like Jojo and Maury, hence why Baren doesn't care to bring anyone or anything else with him.

He's just back on that information hunt.]

[When Baren enters the office, he'll find Zee sitting at his desk with a book open in front of him but his attention's on the computer monitor in front of him. There's a small, thin scar on his throat now that seems somewhat fresh and he's dressed in his usual button down and slacks combo with a vest. It's standard workwear for him.

But he shifts his gaze from the screen to the door, giving Baren a semi-flat look before he rolls his eyes.]

Look I get the nickname but seriously, can we come up with another one? [He doesn't seem as bothered though, given. On the other hand he's also giving Tanuki a very curious look. Hello small friend! Sorry your master's a shithead.]

[That's appreciated. Unlike the last time Chuuya came to his office, this time Zee's actually dressed in his normal business clothes (button down, vest, slacks) and he's at his computer again. When Chuuya knocks and enters, he turns though and gives him a welcoming wave.]

Hey, come in. You're my only appointment for the afternoon so make yourself comfortable. [He has no idea what Chuuya could want, but he also doesn't seem to mind.]

There is progress, yeah.
I talked to the tech department, they seemed to be able to kind of figure out what your stone in particular was tied to based on data collected and how to process it.
With that said, there IS a way to fix it.

[ooc: hi Card! Just so you know in general the way we'd do this is that if Minato wanted to move forward, we would design a specific quest for him surrounding the themes/tone/ideals attached to his stone (which in this case is SEEs.) Completed quest = fixed stone.]
