Newly housed in a remote location attached to the Recollé Public Library, one only has to pass through the invisible door scanners to access Zee's current office. Upon entering, users will see an upgraded suite, three unmarked (and closed) doors along the wall behind Zee's desk, and windows overlooking the city.

-Threads with Zee may be used for AC/bonus points should players choose to do so.
-Threads with Zee may be used to gain mission assignments or discuss plot points, game events, etc.
-Threads with Zee may be cut short if they are irrelevant solely to save on mod-time as well.
-Unless stated otherwise, assume that he is always reachable for Retrospec users.

Right. That's a unique feature to you and me and everyone you know. [He rolls his eyes.] It's a family business, so most of them don't have a reason to need to be altered since they were born here or married into the company. The project originally started to help people whose worlds became unstable and in an effort to rebuild them.

[usurpers]

[ that’s . . . an interesting tidbit. eren shuffles it into his bank of brain data and takes another sip of his tea. maybe he can ask more questions to calm his curiosity some other time. there is a bigger question here, to which he only asks after a pause. ]

Is Magatus still Vanderweele’s safe haven?

[ considering he’s. messing with the system, but something tells eren that distance doesn’t change a thing. ]

[recollecters]

[There's a sigh.] Yes and no. I think we have an even bigger problem on our hands that blowing up Magatus won't solve. But. [There's a but? Give him a second to sip his coffee.] But...I have a theory I'd like to test and it's kind of your fault.

[usurpers]

If you can get something out of it, I wouldn’t call it a fault. Risks are risks.

[ which is to say, he’s willing to put it in practice if it meant that it could make a difference. ]

What is it?

[recollecters]

I think we need to go underneath and check the other layers. I'm pretty sure he has multiple bases in all of the regions that we have to dismantle. I already sent a field agent to check out one of the abandoned ones.

[usurpers]

. . . Shit.

[ eren presses his fingers to his temples. great. that’s just what they needed. a little while longer, he’s bouncing his leg up and down rapidly and anxiously as he looks off in a stare toward the wall. after a few minutes— ]

We’re going to destroy the layers?

[ it’s always “destroy” with eren ig ]

[recollecters]

No. [No??? Hold on a second, Eren, jeez.] We're going to destroy what's underneath and in those layers. I'm hoping to get some stuff done on this end and you guys might be going through some tests to make sure you're balanced and ready and prepared for whatever's down in the sixth and seventh layers. I have to wait for my agent to come back and report.

...but destruction is an option, yeah. Maybe our best one to make sure the other regions are safe, too.

[usurpers]

[ there’s still . . . ghh. even if it’s still an option, eren’s leg doesn’t stop moving. he squirms in his seat and he puts the mug of tea down on the table again. ]

I want to smoke him out. The more we wait, the more he’s installing himself.

[ he’s— anxious and impatient, to say the least, and being asked to wait again is just. god. it’s so little yet too much to have patience for. it’s like ]

You have an agent, now?

[recollecters]

[Eren you're going to knock something over. Zee doesn't stop him though.]

And the sooner we run in without knowing what we're doing, the more likely we'll actually get not only you guys killed but people in those regions and the destruction of the city as a whole. Which one's more valuable to you?

[He gets it though, eyes hooded in sympathy because…yeah. Waiting sucks, and Zee himself is pretty nervous.]

She's not so much an agent as she is someone who wanted a job and I gave it to her. She's proven herself capable over the past several months. [And then future!Zee might regret saying that given he sent Anna in and she lost an eye because he didn't know what was out there, but whatever.] It's a thought I've been having to offer to anyone who wants it. It's just risky.

[usurpers]

[ and— he stops? he finally stops moving around, and he doesn’t need to answer because zee knows what’s more valuable to eren and he also knows that they can’t run in without a little bit more strategy. he stops not after weighing what’s worse, but what comes after that.

he has an identity he has to uproot. he has people to come home to. he has a life to live and he won’t have it if they wait. he’s a man willing to take risks. call it a pro, call it a con at its most extreme.

but if not many people take it, he will. ]

If you don’t risk something, you’ll never change it. [ his nervousness calms once it finds purpose, and his ferocity finds direction. ] What do you need?

[recollecters]

[Thanks bud.]

I'll keep that in mind when we start moving in a few weeks. [There's a frown.] I need leaders, Eren. I need people who can organize special ops and follow tracks down under the city in the sixth layer to find bases and destroy those. I need people who can help rescue and evacuate the regions without getting caught so that we can dismantle everything out there, too. I need people who are going to fight but be smart about it.

Know anybody like that?

[usurpers]

. . . I’ll be honest with you.

[ it takes a little while longer for eren to respond. ]

I can do all of those things. I remember— doing all of that, down to infiltration. And I can do it well. [ there is a but, though. ] I don’t know if you’d call that a leader, but I’m willing to take risks, and make sacrifices. It’s not being reckless. Reckless was when I led an entire team to die because I couldn’t control anger.

If you can trust in us making the right calls, as a team, then I’ll do it. If not, [ he does look to his mug. he can’t bring himself to finish it now, but there’s little left. ] I’ll probably do something on my own terms, anyway.

[ because he is free. ]

That's the thing I sort of figured. If I don't give you guys direction, you'll do things on your own anyway. Most of you are pretty headstrong when left to your own devices, and while I'm normally okay with that there are things happening that make that sort of situation a little more complicated.

[Still, he was sort of thinking of Eren in the first place, that much is true.]

...you've been remembering some pretty harsh stuff, haven't you? [He's just going to ask about that first before committing to anything.]

[usurpers]

[ ah. you know, when he stops to think deeper into those, eren just looks. so tired. like he’s a little worn down from rising and falling and rising and falling down emotional rollercoaster scales and sense of self. don’t get him started on morality! enough to question his identity right this moment and he’s tired of that too, has he mentioned that. the world is a shithead and he keeps telling himself he’s free but what use is freedom when fate ties you down? there are times when he questions that. down times.

but he has to get up and he has to do the one thing he was always good at. fight. fight to be free. ]

That’s what revolution looks like. [ it’s wrong! it’s all wrong and he knows just how wrong it is and he wants to never be in the same skin again but—

it’s a long, confusing story. he doesn’t want to say he’s right, but he doesn’t want to say he was wrong either. the real villain was circumstance. and the world did not need eren jaeger, they needed a monster. ] And what happens, when we remember everything?

[recollecters]

[Eren are you okay. Like. Genuinely. This is precisely why Zee's doing as much research as he is because there's certainly such a thing as changing a bit too drastically.]

Well. A few things can happen. Your world will come back into existence enough with a stabilizing focal point, i.e. you guys. You'll remember a full life you've lived before this one, in addition to this one, and...if I can get this right, a world can be created where Vanderweele's hybrid project is used for the greater good and not what he was initially trying to use it for.

. . . You’re trying to make a new world?

[recollecters]

Sort of. Think of it as fixing this world and combining all of the worlds together. Um. Reverse pangaea? That's not a great example, is it?

[usurpers]

How stable is that?

As stable as I can make it. If it works the way I want it to, the two worlds can co-exist, your souls will hold memories of both lives, and the process can be stopped without the whole thing falling apart. We just have to take out the obstacles in our way.
