(Though I do not feel bad, and I am kidding when I say that, I know this is no one’s fault and I quite enjoy it. It feels like I am growing more complete by the day.)
Let me try and tell you differently! I got stuck in a pocket of time and space some few weeks ago, and in it were the remains of a whale. I wondered for quite some time if it had gone through the same thing as I had, getting stuck, except he was not as lucky to find a way out in time. I was very upset for him, especially when it seems like he had taken a blow, and it reminded me of an old friend named Orca.
He also had a taste for pants. They were between his teeth, and I worried for the person that was possibly there, but I think they escaped just fine. They probably did not taste so good.

[There's a very long pause though.]
...I got out just fine, yeah, and that whale was there and attacked me first. He held me hostage for weeks before I found a way out of his throat. But I'm sure he would appreciate the sympathy.

So this poor thing thought you an interesting poor snack. What an adventure. Was he still alive then, or was he undead? Like Thriller.

He was still very much alive as far I know, but that layer isn't made for long-term living. Not really.

Bless us, to have gotten out in time, and bless our whale friend who didn't. The layers are fascinating, Zee. That was which layer? And why was it that we were caught in them?
I am going to ask more than three questions, looks like.

It was a space between the fifth and the sixth layers. Have you heard of the layers theory so far?
(Maybe it's less of a theory now and more of an actual reality.)

I don’t know just how many abilities I had, but I have a feeling they are many. I hope I can retrieve some in time to properly aid you children. And join in the fun, of course.
Before I ask my third (fourth. fifth?) question now, I’d like to share something with you, since you reminded me! Me and a little bouncing friend of mine were swallowed, once. By a giant water dragon terrorizing the coasts. Unfortunately, he had to die as well, and he was not just a dragon. He was once a King, and to protect his people, took the viscous form of a beast. Someone had placed a curse on him and made him hostile, but he did give us something valuable shortly before his last breath. An orb that gave him life, which was to be taken to his wife, The Queen.
And since you have reminded me of this adventure, allow me to paint it, and gift it to you as thanks. It will not take more than a few afternoons.

Have you remembered any of your abilities? Sometimes you get memories back first before the actual ability. I haven't had a chance to read up on your file, forgive me.
...that's definitely something memorable. Are you sure?
[He's not saying no? He likes art, actually.] If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd like to see it.

I also remember my last two reincarnations were both wolves, as well as my last summoning. My soul was given life from a statue of the former wolf. I feel very, very lucky to be given the gift of being born this time.
And of course! This painting is already yours.

I appreciate that. Thank you.

There is a certain charm and liberty to it, one that humans do not have.

It sounds like you've made peace, at least.

But, yes, Zee. I still have many years to live, but in the time that I have, I’ve learned many lessons. One of those things was freeing myself of many, many things that would have had me suffering, or what once made me suffer. My father has passed, my brothers and sisters are free in their own lives, and my mother lives peacefully in the city under the teachings of Buddha. I have no husband or wife. There is no bond that keeps me here, so to speak.
We visit when our hearts desire it, and we contact each other when we yearn it. But there is no obligation that chains us to each other. I have patients, and passing friends, but I myself pass like the wind. I have done so all my life!
Nothing will stop me from continuing what I always do, which is loving you all as a mother would. That is why I don’t mind becoming a furry white beast in the slightest.
. . . To be honest, more of you will be more comfortable giving me hugs if I were.
no subject
We can only hope more people might feel that way someday.
Thanks for the enlightenment.

Thank you, child.
The second canvas is what it looked like inside the dragon. Mesmerizing, no? I’m afraid your cake will have to wait until next time. And next time, we will meet.

I know just where to put them.
And I look forward to seeing you in person next time.
