This is where you can submit plot ideas for mod-run plots and submit larger scale player plots (or smaller scale ones) for approval to the mod team. Accepted submissions of either kind are eligible to earn extra points for regains, the amount which will be determined by the mods upon submission of a mod-run plot or completion of the player-run plot in execution. Plots which are open to a wider variety of characters will usually earn more points.

NOTES: Note if you are suggesting this as a player-run or mod-run plot. Player-run plots which are successfully run by players will earn more points, as a note.

PLOT:

High School Prom and everything that entails, including a log with prompts for pre-prom, a couple for during prom, and then the option for post-prom. So everyone can get their embarrassing shit in, including the conga line prom pictures, awkward "leave room for ~~Joshua~~ jesus" dances, and some shenanigans after if college students feel like facilitating an after party but I'll leave that open-ended.

» Execution dates would probably be an OOC Announcement Post for mid-April (April 14th?) for the purpose of bringing it to everyone's attention, letting people get their IC prom purchase nonsense, and gathering prom themes because I don't want to have to decide it on my own. Prom King and Prom Queen sign-ups will also be available. Suggestions will close a week after (April 21st?), theme voting will go up same day and be open through May 5th. Sign-ups will also close on May 5th. If the mods could link the Voting Poll + Prom Royals Sign-Ups in the Monthly May Announcement page, that'd be great so all the newbies can get involved.

» IC Prom Log will be up on Friday, May 12th. I'll shoot for 9 PM EST but it depends on my personal schedule for that day! Prompts will be written based on what shenanigans are going to be in place for the month - I'll admittedly play this one a little bit by ear and talk to the mods 1:1 (.... or 1:3?)

» What's Going On? So there'll be prom theme, pre-prom parties, a photo booth for taking silly pictures, the crowning of Prom King and Queen (also RNG-selected), a Dance Off, Commandeering of the DJ Booth, something unfortunate plaguing the buffet table, and then post-prom nonsense. To be honest, more chaos will probably arise and I'd personally like something to get set on fire from a senior prank gone wrong.

» Who's Invited? So the default is that it'll be high school students - some might have prejudices against underclassmen being there but we'll say that it's not the common trend so that as many people can attend as possible. There'll be a faculty shortage (staff infection, slaps knee) that requires more adults to be present. They get paid overtime. Also college students will be given extra credit if they go. They can relive the glory days.

» New, exciting ways to get involved wouldn't be terrible, I think! For example if we were to move prom to a bigger venue and as a PR-move, Retrospec provided funding to move it out of the gym and into a nightclub. ~~The Retrospec Building Itself.~~ Or something like if you drink the fruit punch made out of dancing fruit, you could get a small memory regain and suddenly everyone is a Juice Freak for a month because they think it's a clue.

My small concern is that I'd want to open the event to the public as much as possible. Of course this isn't Absolutely Necessary - I just thought I'd throw the idea out there if it was possible.

NOTES: Player-run! I've got this one, I totally do. Nothing will go wrong.

We're perfectly happy to approve this plot! These dates work for us and we will add them to the calendar for this month and next month.

As a reminder, accepted submissions/plots are eligible to earn extra points that you can apply to regains! This amount will be determined by us upon completion of your player-run plot. For the future, we would also like to note that accepted submissions for mod-run player plots are also eligible and point value will be determined upon submission.

Edit: Minor note, you and I (Ty) have spoken privately about what will and won't work for this plot so I'm just notating it here!
