PLOT SUBMISSION

PLOT SUBMISSIONS
This is where you can submit plot ideas for mod-run plots and submit larger scale player plots (or smaller scale ones) for approval to the mod team. Accepted submissions of either kind are eligible to earn extra points for regains, the amount which will be determined by the mods upon submission of a mod-run plot or completion of the player-run plot in execution. Plots which are open to a wider variety of characters will usually earn more points.

Please fill out the following form in order to submit your plot.

PLAYER: Your name.
CHARACTERS INVOLVED: Your character and any other characters involved in the event.
PLOT: Your idea.
NOTES: Note if you are suggesting this as a player-run or mod-run plot. Player-run plots which are successfully run by players will earn more points, as a note.

PLAYER: Saffy
CHARACTERS INVOLVED: Garnet ([personal profile] uncagedbird) and probably the shelter staff? I haven't actually asked them if they want to do this yet, so I'm fine with changing who benefits from this.
PLOT: Black Tie & Tails - a fundraiser for the local pet shelter/humane society! I'm also willing to change it to like, Planned Parenthood or something if the shelter people don't... want money. This is literally just an excuse to have a formal event.

Ari, now that she's settled, thinks a lot of people might use a distraction from the goings on with Retrospec. A big fancy party is great for that.

She'll be using her connections to rent a large event space and turn it into a real ball, complete with music of all kinds (classical and then if there are players who have bands, they can play too). Tentatively, the theme will be animals though it's not necessary for people to wear cat ears/masks/whatever. They can if they'd like! The only stipulation is that they have to be dressed at least a little nice. A minimum donation of at least 5 dollars or some pet food is what's needed to get in the door.

In addition to dancing, music, and ridiculously fancy animal-themed food, there will also be a meet and greet for people to learn about the animals who need adoption and fill out applications for them. The animals will need handlers, so that provides another opportunity for people to interact... Nothing helps pick up dates better than puppies, right?

Also a cute idea I had: people who wear animal things, one way or another, could take on certain 'characteristics' of the animal they chose, or parts of their costume might turn real for a night. So a girl with a cat ear headband might end up feeling easily-distracted and playful, or maybe the ears move? And dog people might end up playing fetch. LMAO. Just an idea! The effects would only be temporary and would last only until they left the party.

OOCly, I definitely plan on putting a call on the ooc comm for shelter people because I know there's quite a few and I don't want to step on their toes. The time of the plot doesn't particularly matter. While this sort of thing is suited for Halloween, I don't wanna wait that long. So spring fling it is!

A few characters might want to attend but not be able to because of money or lack of costumes. For that reason, I'll have Ari herself offer to outfit anyone who needs it.

NOTES: Again, I'm willing to change every aspect of this if you'd like-- I just want an excuse to see people looking ridiculously gorgeous in formal wear, and this is open to all ages.

I'd also like to note that it's a great opportunity for memory regains, though I think item/power/ability ones would be fine for characters who attended too.

Thank you for the swift response!

1. Thank you for clarifying that. I wasn't too attached to the idea anyway buuuut just in case this setting had room for it, I thought I'd put it out there.

2. The third week of April sounds great! That gives me enough time to write stuff up and collect pictures, as well as contact people who could want their characters in on it. ♥ I'm also fine holding off til May if you'd like -- new people could certainly have a bunch of new CR at the ball, though I worry about overloading people (seeing as the event log and network posts tend to get gigantic.)

3. That's a great idea, and I'll be putting that in my planning post too. So we'll need shelter people to handle the adoptions, people to provide music, boutique/outfitters, and cooks! That sounds like enough variety that not everyone has to be just attending. Helping make an event is nice for characters, too.

4. Just a normal event log is absolutely how I was envisioning it anyway, so! This all makes a lot of sense.

Thank you so much! Let me know what you think would be best for the date.

4/22 sounds great, I can put it up at midnight EST on Friday night! As for the ooc post, I think I want to do it on the 4th? So people have a couple weeks to prepare. (I'm also going to be out of town the 15th, so.)
